Queens’ College has now submitted a planning application to Cambridge City Council who will undertake their own formal consultation before making a decision on the application.
In 2021, we undertook a comprehensive pre-application consultation programme to gather feedback on plans to provide much-needed postgraduate accommodation for our students at the Owlstone Croft site.
During this process, a number of key themes were identified during discussions with Newnham residents, community groups and Cambridge City Council representatives including:
Following the close of the consultation, the College and the design team have worked hard to address the matters raised by residents and stakeholders.
You can find out more about how we have addressed these key themes by visiting the proposals and access, construction and operations pages which provide further details about the submitted plans.
Thank you to everybody who provided feedback on the proposals during the public consultation period. All feedback received and has been recorded and responded to in the Statement of Community Engagement which has been submitted as part of the planning application.
